The Canadian Mineralogist Joins GSW

Alexandria, Va. – GeoScienceWorld (GSW) is pleased to announce the immediate launch of the 34th online geoscience journal on its web site, http://www.geoscienceworld.org. The Canadian Mineralogist is now available and fully-searchable through GSW’s online portal of geoscience journals at http://canmin.geoscienceworld.org. The full-text of the journal is freely available to all until September 19, 2007; after that date, full-text will be available only to GSW subscribers.

The Canadian Mineralogist —- an international journal on mineralogy, petrology, crystallography, economic geology, and geochemistry -— is published bimonthly by the Mineralogical Association of Canada, a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion and advancement of the mineral sciences. With its international authorship, readership and editorial board, The Canadian Mineralogist is one of the major mineralogy journals. It is well known for its timely thematic issues.

GeoScienceWorld is an online resource for research and communications in the geosciences, built on a core aggregation of high-impact, peer-reviewed journals that are indexed, linked, and interoperable with the GeoRef bibliographic database. The addition of the The Canadian Mineralogist is an important landmark in GSW’s mission to be the most comprehensive, widely accessible, easy to use, integrated, and cost-effective online resource for journals in the geological and earth sciences.
