European Journal of Mineralogy
Launches on
GeoScienceWorldAlexandria, Va. – GeoScienceWorld (GSW) is pleased to announce the immediate launch of the 33rd online geoscience journal on its web site, http://www.geoscienceworld.org. The European Journal of Mineralogy (EJM) is now available and fully-searchable through GSW’s online portal of geoscience journals at http://eurjmin.geoscienceworld.org. The full-text of EJM is freely available to all until June 10, 2007; after that date, full-text will be available only to GSW subscribers.
EJM is published jointly by four scholarly societies: Deutsche Mineralogische Gesellschaft; Sociedad Española de Mineralogía; Società Italiana di Mineralogia e Petrologia; and Société française de Minéralogie et de Cristallographie. This diversity is reflected in each issue and in the several thematic sets of papers to appear in the EJM in 2007, namely “Mineral surface reactivity” in issue no. 3, “Experimental Mineralogy, Petrology and Geochemistry; EMPG XI in Bristol” and a special issue devoted to the formation, occurrence and properties of that gem of gems, diamond, later in the year.
GeoScienceWorld is an online resource for research and communications in the geosciences, built on a core aggregation of high-impact, peer-reviewed journals that are indexed, linked, and interoperable with the GeoRef bibliographic database. The addition of the European Journal of Mineralogy is an important milestone in GSW’s mission to be the most comprehensive, widely accessible, easy to use, integrated, and cost-effective online resource for journals in the geological and earth sciences.
