Joins GeoScienceWorld
Alexandria, Va. – GeoScienceWorld (GSW) is pleased to announce the immediate launch of its 32nd online geoscience journal on its web site, http://www.geoscienceworld.org. The Journal of Environmental and Engineering Geophysics (JEEG) is now available and fully-searchable through GSW’s online portal of geoscience journals at http://jeeg.geoscienceworld.org. The full-text of JEEG is freely available to all until November 14, 2006; after that date, full-text will be available only to GSW subscribers.
The Journal of Environmental and Engineering Geophysics is a publication of the Environmental and Engineering Geophysical Society (http://www.eegs.org) and was established in 1995 to promote the development and appropriate use of environmental and engineering geophysics. To this end, early issues of the JEEG included tutorials and review articles on subjects ranging from the application of electrical resistance tomography for monitoring steam injection, to an investigation into the resolving power of geophysical methods for detecting buried unexploded ordnance. More recently, the JEEG has published collections of papers devoted to single topics such as ground-penetrating radar, seismic surface waves, and the rapid development of geophysics applications in China.
GeoScienceWorld is an online resource for research and communications in the geosciences, built on a core aggregation of high-impact, peer-reviewed journals that are indexed, linked, and interoperable with the GeoRef bibliographic database. The addition of the Journal of Environmental and Engineering Geophysics is an important milestone in GSW’s mission to be the most comprehensive, widely accessible, easy to use, integrated, and cost-effective online resource for journals in the geological and earth sciences.
